Alfred Bernhard Nobel was born
October 21, 1833, in
Stockholm, Sweden, the son of


Immanuel Nobel and Andrietta Ahlsell.
The involvement of Russia in
the Crimean War (1853-1856
Alfred Nobel has been in Russia
when his father returned to Stockholm
in 1858.
In the meantime, in Europe,
and Nobel companies faced increasing criticism, arising from many of the
bombings that occurred accidentally when he was being transferred nitroglycerin
or stored. It was expected the Nobel these problems. As of 1864 he had tried to
use various solid materials to absorb hazardous liquids, including kieselguhr
(a water). Reduce the explosive power of this article a bit, and the result was

From 1865 to 1873 Nobel lived in Hamburg

until 1891, when the use of ballistite by the Italian Army made him unpopular

10, 1896. The figure was truly global, and travel constantly. For all his
achievements, he was reserved and shy man who hated publicity. He had taken
care of his mother all his life and never married.
Will Nobel directed that the bulk of his estate a huge
must finance annual prizes to those who, in the previous year, and most
benefited mankind in five specific topics: physics (the study of the
relationship between matter and energy), chemistry, medicine, literature and
peace. Settled his will within four years,
and established the Nobel Foundation. Nobel
Prize is one of the highest accolades one can receive. Each winner gets
a gold medal, scroll and cash award based on profits from investments of the
Corporation in that year. Has recently been
award a million dollars each.
